What is great for people with figity hands?
Crochet projects this summer were gifts for family.
These bunnies were inspired from Make and Do Crew rectangular bunnies. Of course, following a pattern exactly is not a strongpoint, so this is a great figet project. There was still a lot of "frogging" or ripping out since the hook did not match the yarn, per se. The larger bunny is the first and followed the single crochet recommended in the original post. The smaller bunny was made using tunisian crochet (a cross between a knitting needle and a crochet hook). Being able to experiment with hooks, new techniques, and bumpy yarn and not make a dish cloth was fun. The yarn came from my stash from back in the day when the kids were making doll hair.
This purse is a home design and sort of a knock off of an old le Sac purse. It is crocheted using white cotton twine from the hardware section of Wal-Mart using a single stitch. The lining was a remnant. It is snazzed up with a metal zipper. Materials for this project were less than $7.00. Crafting the perfect purse for your daughter, priceless!
This was another fun project to pull together that tested basic crochet and sewing. Design on the fly in three dimensions.
