Nature’s Inspiration at Cool Creek 2024

I am delighted to debut a fused glass painting at this year’s show. This is a delightful show that drives away the winter blahs and ennui that comes with darker days, at least for me. I have to admit that I am always scrambling to choose pieces and often end up creating something new This is the case for the encaustic entered. The brush painted piece that is the foundation has been on my easel for many months. As this deadline approached, I had to do something with it. What better than an encaustic in the closed up house!

How the heck do you hang glass?
Rabbit fence, of course. Inspiration often comes from a garage full of debris!

Lots of non traditional work. It looks like last year’s quilted piece inspired other textile artists to show.

I made fit out to the reception in spite of the snow storm. We did have a good turnout.
