This piece is a super fun throw back. The Noblesville Creates Sporting Inspiration challenge was a sports theme, and the style for this piece is reminiscent of a painting era of memorialization of meaningful sporting equipment in watercolor. Most of those pieces were created specifically for my brother-in-law and are in his private collection.
It was fun to work on a sports theme once again, but this time graphite and colored pencils with a little ink took the center stage. Baseballs, and the debut of a softball are the feature of this team.
